It’s not even Halloween yet, but don’t worry, if you’re already in the Christmas spirit, there’s a place for you to spread your Christmas cheer to all of Downtown Orlando! The highly anticipated “Christmas Bar” that everyone in Orlando has been talking about opened a little over two months ago, bringing yuletide cheer to Orlando’s locals and visitors. Frosty’s Christmastime Lounge, located on Orange Ave, is an amazingly themed dive bar that brings something totally unique to the bar scene in Downtown Orlando.
Frosty’s brings excitement to everybody who walks through the door. If you’re on Orange Ave looking for the bar, you can’t miss the Christmas lights and frosted windows that adorn the outside. Upon entering, you’ll see more twinkly lights, Santas, nutcrackers, and a fireplace. Will Ferrell’s instant classic “Elf” is playing on the televisions, while a mix of 80’s throwbacks, Top 40, and the occasional Christmas Carol is piped through the speakers.
If you’re not quite feeling the festivities yet, Frosty’s has a list of fun wintry themed cocktails and a large bar area that is sure to fix that! Unique to Frosty’s menu are their snow cone cocktails, with clever flavors like Coconuts Roasting Over an Open Fire and Porky’s Liposuction (with bacon infused bourbon and maple syrup!) Care for an XMAS shot? Try a Frosty Nog with Frosty’s own homemade nog, or the Klondike Bar, a shot with peppermint, hazelnut and coffee liqueur!
Hoping for a White Christmas? You’re in luck! That’s right, Frosty’s is even making SNOW come to Orlando! The best part about it? It’s totally random. You won’t know it’s about to snow until it’s falling down on top of you, much like how unpredictable the real stuff can be!
So who’s up for a drink, or shall I say…a snow cone? At just about twenty minutes from the Vista Cay Resort, Frosty’s would be a great way to spend an afternoon or evening in Downtown Orlando. Visit Frosty’s before an Orlando City Soccer Game, after dinner at Eola Wine Company, or check out their Happy Hour, Monday to Friday from 4-7 PM. Happy Holidays!
