Sometimes the inclination to dance can overtake a person until the only option left is to spend the night cutting a rug, busting a move, and shaking what your mama gave you. Dancing is one of the most relaxing ways to spend a vacation, and it’s especially easy to let go in a city full of people you will never see again. To help you do that, here’s a list of five locations in Orlando where you can shake it off.

Red Coconut Club: Located at Universal Citywalk, this club has a large dance floor with an interior that is both upscale and eclectic. Looking around on the inside, one can see palm trees, tiki torches, and bongo drums. While Red Coconut does play a variety of music, it is mostly known for its Latin music, provided by both DJ’s and live bands. Visit this club on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday and one will hear the type of Latin music that is sure to get the feet and hips moving.

Blue Martini: This particular club has just opened a new location at Pointe Orlando, with the same classic and upscale Blue Martini look. Although this establishment is mostly known for its Happy Hour and after-work crowd, the atmosphere relaxes as the evening progresses. Every night features live entertainment, usually with a DJ mixing it up. Fridays and Saturdays are the perfect nights to grab one of Blue Martini’s signature cocktails and shake, rattle, and roll to a Top 40’s hit.

Bob Marley-A Tribute to Freedom: Looking to do something a little more out of the ordinary? This Jamaican –style evening might be just the thing. Another Universal Citywalk night club, this place couldn’t be more different from Red Coconut. It’s mostly outdoors, although covered areas and air conditioning can be found. Every evening features a live reggae band, followed by a DJ. Prepare to work up a sweat to some of the best Caribbean music Orlando has to offer.

Cowboys: Need to put those boots on and set them a-tappin? This country music bar will be just the place to do it. Although this bar is slightly out of the way, it features line dancing, billiard tables, and great drink specials. This bar is the exception to the rule, being open every night of the week except Sundays. So take this chance while on vacation to boot, scoot, and boogie to the top country songs of the day.

B.B. King’s Blues Club: This Pointe Orlando establishment pays homage to blues music with an in-house band called the B.B. King’s Blues Club All-Star Band. Once the evening commences, be prepared to take a break and sample something from the Mississippi Delta inspired cuisine. Whether it’s to a band or a DJ, those feet will be compelled to get down to some fantastic music.

No matter which club provides the setting for a dance party, always take a cab. Remember, those feet have been moving all night and deserve a break. Let someone else do the driving and save those boogie shoes for the real show. Many of these locations are within a few miles of the Vista Cay Resort, with Cowboys being the farthest at about a 20 minute drive.
